Pretty Flowers :)

Stylish Hello Graphic

Hi! So...this is my last blog EVER. Ever, ever, ever, ever!!! So.....I hope you enjoy it because I'm gonna enjoy doing NO MORE blogs!!! And this blogs gonna be about......

  • I'm gonna compare the life cycles of angiosperms and gymnosperms!!
  • I will diagram the parts of flower and then I will label the functions!!
  • Then I'm gonna talk about my favorite flower!!
  • And finally I will list 3 methods of seed dispersal!

Well, I have to talk MORE about angiosperms and gymnosperms, yippee. So I'm gonna get over with it....

  • The first thing is...that angiosperms are flowering plants and gymnosperms are mostly trees.
  •  Gymnosperms use cones to reproduce, there are female and male cones, unlike angiosperms who have male, female, and both male in female, ( perfect flowers ) and don't use cones to reproduce.
  • Gymnosperms don't use pollen to reproduce, like angiosperms.
  • But, the two sperms do both reproduce with seeds......but the seeds are made in different ways!!

So....now that you understand that, its time to label and diagram the parts of a flower.

Well, the main parts of the flower is the pistil, the stamen, the stigma, the ovary, and the anther.

  • The Pistil: The female organ of the flower used to make the seed with pollen,
  • The Stamen: The male organ of the flower used to make pollen and to fertilize female flowers.
  • The Stigma: It collects pollen and then it goes down the style to the ovary!
  • The Ovary: It is underneath the flower and it holds the ovule, which has the eggs used to make seeds.
  • The Anther: That is where the pollen from a male flower is transported.

                     MY FAVORITE FLOWER :D

My favorite flower is...........THE WHITE ROSE (: Yes, the white rose!!! Not the pink or the red......the plain white!! Even though it has no color, white is my favorite......but if I had to chose a colored flower.....its orange!! But, enough about my flower issues.....it's time to learn!!

                                  FUN FACTS:
  • Roses are edible and will probably taste like an apple.....but it's gonna fell smooth instead.
  • A fossil of a rose was 35 million years old!
  • There are over 15,000 species of roses!!
  • The oldest rose in the world bloomed for over 1,000 years.
  • An almond is in the same family as a rose.
  • Over 85% of Americans favorite flower is a rose.
Now that you learned some blossom facts....... it's now time to name the 3 methods of  seed dispersal! (:

  1. It can be blown by the wind.
  2. It can be eaten by an animal and pooped out.
  3. Or........ it can be washed away by water!!!

Well, I hoped you really enjoyed my very, very, VERY last blog that I will probably ever do!! It was kinda fun making blogs......but sometimes it was just boring.......so I'm glad to make my last blog about a good topic like flowers instead of blogging about the body parts of a chicken! Bye....FOREVER!!!! And.....you can still read my old blogs...since I won't make anymore!!! Bye!! (:

I used my Science textbook and I also used: Click Here :D Click Here Also :D And Then Click Me :D

Seed-Plants!

Hiya! Well............ today I'm gonna talk about plants with seeds!!! No.....not all plants have seeds actually!! What you say....well you better believe it!! But, that's not all I'm gonna talk about on this blog! So...............let me explain what I'll talk about in this blog.

  • I'll name some characteristics about seed-plants.
  • The importance of angiosperms and gymnosperms.
  • The characteristics of angiosperms and gymnosperms.
  • And then I will compare monocots and discots!

So........now it's time to name the characteristics!

.
  • All seed-plants reproduce with seeds!
  • They have vascular tissue.
  • They breathe in Co2 and produce oxygen.
  • They have thick, plant cell walls.
  • They need water and nutrients.
  • They have plant cells.

Well, you get it........now I'm gonna name the importance of angiosperms and gymnosperms!!
  • Gymnosperm plants make wood that is used in construction and in papers that we use.
  • Gymnosperms also help produce the chemicals in soap , paints, and medicines.
  • Angiosperm trees take in lots of carbon dioxide in photosynthesis and produce oxygen
  • They also make fibers like cotton and it makes rubber, oils, and perfumes!
.

Now.............I'm gonna talk about the characteristics of angio and gymnosperms.

  • Angiosperms and gymnosperms both reproduce with seeds.
  • They both are vascular plants.
  • They both go through photosynthesis.
  • They are both two groups of seed plants!

Finally, it's time to talk about monocots and discots!

Monocots: They only have 1 seed leaf inside the seed coat and often it is a thin leaf. There veins are in there leaves and they are side by side. Monocots only have 1 cotyledon!

Discots: They have 2 seed leafs inside a seed coat! They are mostly rounded and fat! Discots have 2 cotyeldons and they have about 4 or 5 petals if they are a flower.

                 FUN FACTS ABOUT PLANTS!!

  • Did you know that peanuts are beans??
  • Bamboo is grass! :O
  • Nutmeg is EXTREMELY poisonous if it's injected the wrong way!!
Well, that's all!!!! Bye!! Come back to learn more sciency stuff!!
